thumb biter: paying $400 to do farm labor
I finally finished packing for college. I have so much crap but lucky for me I’m doing a preorientation program (organic farming near my school) so my parents/sister are the ones who have to lug my junk up in the car. I have a lot of photos of things I liked a lot in Singapore/Malaysia, mostly from museums and the patterns of old Chinese ladies’ shirts, but there are many and I have to sort through them so I won’t bore people, and I’m about to leave to go farming for a week with no showers or technology so those will come later.I just figured out (googled) how to do double exposures on a disposable camera so here are some photos from this summer; more are on my Tumblr tagged with my name. I have a lot of friends
me and the williams gang
The past few days I have been taking care of my neighbor’s cat, wearing my new glasses, and creating outfits that resemble the 1960s. I forgot to take a picture of today’s clothing which included a horrendous wool pink and purple skirt from Etsy which will probably appear in a future blog post but here is me chasing a cat while sporting a beehive which is hard to see and my cat lady glasses and a lovely green dress that Julie gave me:

Below are the remains of the shrine that used to be in what used to be my bedroom until my sister took over. It is hard to decide what to pack and what to leave behind because at some point I have worn most of these items (flowers, dolls, Virgin Mary figurines, candy, etc.) as jewelry. Who wants to be in college wishing they had brought their Barbie doll to hang on their necklace just because some people would consider Barbie a superfluous ornament that real college students don’t bring to school?
Not me.
It is time for me to take my last shower of the week, I have set my Tumblr q going for the next four days, and there are 14 more hours until I become a Real (pre-)College Student. When we next meet, Internet, I will have shed my youthful past and entered the world of ramen and more Tumblr.
